Durban - A newborn baby boy died after being dumped in a public toilet in Durban on Friday, paramedics said.
Rescue Care Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said paramedics responded to the urgent call for assistance on Tara Road near Bluff Road South of Durban on Friday afternoon.
"On arrival paramedics found the members of the public performing CPR [Cardiopulmonary resuscitation] on the new born. Advanced Life Support Paramedics took over and despite all efforts after approximately thirty minutes there was nil response and the baby was declared deceased on the scene."
