Newcastle - A man died when he was impaled by a pipe in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, on Friday, paramedics said.
The 55-year-old man slipped and fell into a 10-metre deep trench and onto the pipe at a brick manufacturing site, ER24 spokeswoman Luyanda Majija said.
“It is unclear how the man fell into the trench, however paramedics reported that the trench was not barricaded and there were loose bricks strewn along its edges.”
