Durban - A man died and another person was seriously injured when their car veered off the R102 near King Shaka airport north of Durban, and hit a tree early on Thursday morning, paramedics said.
“Reports indicate that the vehicle veered off the road as it was rounding a bend and collided into a tree, (with) the wreckage coming to rest down an embankment,” Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said.
“Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that a man had sustained life threatening injuries.”
After he was removed from the car, paramedics worked to resuscitate the man, however he died on scene due to his injuries.
The other person was stabilised at the scene and taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment. - Sapa
