Durban - A man died while burning sugar cane in Tongaat, KwaZulu-Natal, on Wednesday, paramedics said.
“Reports from the scene indicate that the man was part of a team burning sugar cane when he was trapped in the flames,” said Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha.
The man sustained 90 percent burns. He died at the scene due to his injuries.
