Durban - Seven people were injured when the driver of the bus they were travelling in lost control of the vehicle on the N3 Durban-bound just after the Paradise Valley interchange near Pinetown on Saturday morning, paramedics said.

 

Just after 5am Rescue Care paramedics were called to the scene and found that the bus had crashed through the centre median and come to a stop in the fast lane in the opposite direction towards Pinetown, Rescue Care spokesman Garrith Jamieson said.

"Fortunately the bus did not overturn." A total of seven people, including a bus assistant, were injured and were stabilised on the scene before being transported to various Durban hospitals for the further care that they required.

 

At this stage the cause of the driver losing control and veering across the centre median was unknown, Jamieson said.
