Durban’s Top Gear street circuit will start at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, run along Masabalala Yengwa (NMR) Avenue, Sandile Thusi (Argyle) Road, through the Natal Command site past Suncoast Casino and the King’s Park Pool and return to the stadium.

*Wednesday: From 3pm Battery Beach Road and the western carriageway of the Suncoast Boulevard will be closed, while the eastern carriageway of the Suncoast Boulevard will be converted to two-way traffic flow.

Sylvester Ntuli (Brickhill) Road will be closed between Suncoast Boulevard and Sandile Thusi Road.

*Thursday: From 9am the southbound carriageway of Masabalala Yengwa Avenue will be closed between Isaiah Ntshangase (Walter Gilbert) Road and Sandile Thusi Road. The eastbound carriageway of Sandile Thusi will be closed between Masabalala Yengwa Avenue and Ruth First Freeway. Both carriageways of Sandile Thusi Road will be closed between Ruth First Freeway and Sylvester Ntuli Road. Ruth First Freeway will be closed between 9am and 11am.

*Friday: From 8.30am to 3pm the southbound carriageway of Ruth First Freeway will be closed at Blue Lagoon, while the northbound carriageway of Ruth First Freeway will be closed at Somtseu Road (restricted access to Durban Central Police Station).

The southbound carriageway of Masabalala Yengwa Avenue will be closed at Smiso Nkwanyana (Goble) Road (restricted access) while the northbound carriageway will be closed at Sandile Thusi Road.

From 3pm to 7pm both carriageways of Ruth First and the northbound carriageway of Masabalala Yengwa Avenue will be open to traffic. Signs advising motorists of the closures will be erected at all the affected intersections.
