Rustenburg - The Hawks have confirmed that the unit is currently conducting a search and seizure operation at the offices of North West Premier Supra Mahumapelo.

Hawks spokesperson Captain Tlangelani Rikhotso said the Hawks were raiding the offices in search of documents related to a fraud and corruption case that is being investigated.
"We are currently at the offices of the North West Premier where we are doing a search and seizure operation to find documents to assist us in ongoing investigations that we have ongoing in relation to a case of fraud and corruption," said Rikhotso.
"At this moment I cannot confirm what the case is related to. We cannot say who is being investigated."
Rikhotso declined to say what the case being investigated relates to.
However, reports have emerged that the case involves an IT tender that was awarded to a company called Nepo Data Dynamic.
It is alleged that millions of rands were paid to the company which was awarded a three-year contract to help improve the province's IT system.
Pictures of Hawks’ vehicles outside Mahumapelo's offices have surfaced, showing a large contingent of officers.
This is the second-high profile raid by the Hawks in a month.
Last month the Hawks raided the offices of Free State Premier Ace Magashule, seeking documents relating to the Vrede Dairy Farm investigation.
The Hawks also raided the home of the controversial Gupta family in relation to the Vrede farm project. A number of people linked to the Guptas were arrested.
