Rustenburg - Three Mozambican men were arrested near the Rustenburg taxi rank for possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle, North West police said on Sunday.
Police spokesperson Captain Paul Ramafoko said the police tested a gold Ford Fiesta on the Electronic National Traffic Information System (eNATIS) on Friday, while transporting a suspect in a drunk driving case to a local hospital.
“The vehicle tested positive and was pulled off by the officers. It was then established that the vehicle has been reported hijacked at Eden Park in Johannesburg, during September last year,” said Ramaloko.
The car was taken to the police impound for further investigation.
