Brits - Four people accused of stoning a man to death in an apparent mob justice attack were granted R1 000 bail each in the Brits Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
The State alleges that Calvin Makgopela, Letta Rampa, Mirriam Monyai and Thabane Thabane stoned a 50-year-old man to death in Rabokala near Brits.
The four were arrested on October 27, after community members took the law into their own hands on October 26, stoning the man to death, accusing him of raping a 13-year-old girl.
