Johannesburg - A 15-year-old girl was raped and murdered in Koster, near Rustenburg, North West police said on Wednesday.
Captain Pelonomi Makau said she was found at home, with her face covered with a cloth, on Tuesday afternoon. Police suspected she was murdered on Monday night.
“Her body was discovered on Tuesday, around 2pm, at her home by her friends after they missed her at school in the morning.”
The children told their teachers, who called the police. They confirmed the girl was raped before she was murdered.
