Two Gauteng men are feeling on top of the world after their five correct numbers plus the bonus ball won them R215 653 each, in Lotto's second division over the weekend, and both now have big plans for their families.

One of them, a 74-year old player, raked in the cash after using Quickpick to enter the 61st draw.

He was all smiles when he collected his prize from Uthingo's head office in Johannesburg on Monday afternoon.

"I love this game. It gives me something to look forward to every week. Lotto always makes for an interesting talking point because everybody wants to win," he said.

The grandad said he bought his winning ticket from a chain supermarket on Wednesday afternoon "because the queues can really be quite long if you wait for the weekends".

He celebrated his win with his three daughters and six grandchildren, whom he says will benefit most from the windfall.

"They are my little angels. My wife and I adore them. This time around, they're getting more than just sweets and toys and that's the best way to enjoy this win," he said.

Also enjoying his windfall is a middle-aged father of two, from Gauteng, who selected his winning numbers randomly to strike it rich in the second division.

"Two years ago my wife and I bought our eldest daughter her first car, and we're happy that we can now afford to do the same for our youngest princess. Winning the Lotto puts you on top of the world, and I'm glad to be here," he said. - Staff Reporter
