JOHANNESBURG - The winner of the biggest PowerBall jackpot on Tuesday came forward to claim his riches, national lottery operator Ithuba Holdings said.
The winner of the biggest ever Powerball jackpot - R145 million - spent a mere R20 on his ticket bought at Evander Dienstasie, 1 Rotter Dam Road, in Evander, Mpumalanga.
Ithuba public relations manager Naledi Masopha said the winner had made telephone contact on Monday to claim his winnings but only arrived at their offices in Johannesburg on Tuesday morning.
The draw took place on Friday night. The winning numbers were 1, 15, 23, 24, 35 and Powerball 4.
