Pretoria - People continued gathering outside the Mediclinic Heart Hospital in Pretoria on Wednesday night to wish former president Nelson Mandela a speedy recovery.
“Our lives have changed since he was admitted to hospital. We pray to God to give him more years,” said Maggy Tau.
She said she went to the hospital every day after work to pray for Mandela.
She was among the many people delivering flowers and messages of support to the ailing former president.
Mandela is being treated for a recurring lung infection. He was admitted to hospital on June 8.
“We do not know his condition. I wish we could be updated at least after two days,” said Tau.
Some of the people outside the hospital took time to read some of the many messages posted on a wall of tributes, and to photograph them wit their cellphones.
Television journalists filed live feeds, attracting a small group of onlookers.
