Firefighters were still battling a three-day-old fire outside Tulbagh in the Western Cape on Tuesday afternoon.

Working on Fire spokeswoman Leanne Mckrill said five teams were fighting the fire which had been burning for nearly four days.

“We have had five of our teams on the fire as well as four helicopters fighting the fire,” she said.

“Most stayed last night and will be out until tonight.”

The fires were not threatening any human area and were being held back by a railway line.
