Cape Town – A man is in a critical condition after a car crash on the N1 in Bellville, Cape Town, on Sunday afternoon, Western Cape paramedics said.

ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said paramedics arrived on the scene and found that three vehicles were involved in the collision.

A woman was found standing next to the car she had been travelling in.

She was assessed and treated for moderate injuries.

The man was found trapped in the same vehicle.

Fire and rescue services extricated him.

He was assessed by paramedics and treated for his injuries.

Both patients, believed to be in their 20s, were transported to hospital for further medical care, Bodasing said.
