Cape Town - The Talent Boom has fired an employee just two days after they hired her following her racist rant at the 155th L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate held at Kenilworth race course.

The employee, Nicole De Klerk, allegedly called guests at the event “k*****s” and then told security: “I called the k*****s because that’s what they are.”

She was then reportedly removed from the event by the organisers.

The company where De Klerk was employed said in an official statement that her behaviour was “absolutely unnecessary and deeply upsetting”.

De Klerk initially posted an apology on Twitter but has since deactivated her account.

Pockets of racism flared up on social networks earlier this week with realtor Penny Sparrow calling black people “monkeys”.

Controversial Gareth Cliff came to her defence and was then dropped from SA Idols.
