Cape Town - Kraaifontein SAPS members delivered a massive blow to the illegal abalone trade when they seized dried abalone worth millions on Tuesday at about 12:30.

 

The members acted on information they received and when they arrived at Daphne Street, Loarti Village, Kraaifontein, where the members discovered shelves stacked with dried abalone. 

Over 5000 dried abalone were seized worth an estimated street value of more than three million rand. 

SAPS spokesperson, Mihlali Majikela, revealed that no arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
