Cape Town - Police have arrested two alleged high-flying Cape Flats drug dealers.
The bust was made on Thursday evening and a police crime intelligence source tells the Daily Voice the two suspects were found “with a s*** load of firearms, ammunition and drugs”.
Igshaan “Sanie American” Davids, from Hanover Park, and Kaldumalla “Dimes” Madatt, from Rocklands, were allegedly caught red-handed with their stash at Davids’ home.
Davids was being investigated under the Prevention of Organised Crime Act (POCA) and he faced several drug-related and gang activity charges in 2013.
Madatt is the brother of convicted drug dealer Moegamat Sadaka Madatt.

Madatt is also a former self-confessed drug dealer, who had allegedly closed a church in Rocklands in 2010 and turned it into a shebeen.
Madatt previously told the Daily Voice he wanted cops to stop comparing him to his brother Sadaka, an alleged Americans boss who was charged with diamond smuggling and drug crimes in 2009.
Madatt hoped to own the biggest fruit and veg market Mitchells Plain had ever seen.
Both he and Davids spent the weekend in jail.
Police sources on the scene of the arrest in Hanover Park on Thursday evening say along with the drugs, they confiscated firearms and ammunition.
Upon learning that the suspects are only being charged with drug possession, the police source believes this was the work of dirty cops.
“Suddenly they are charged with just drugs. The stuff just disappears and that is how the drug dealers get away with it,” the angry source said.
A witness, who lives close by, told the Daily Voice he also saw several “heavy bags full of weapons” being carried out of the house.
“There were drugs, guns and bullets. They were in the house for long and I saw the heavy bags with the weapons being carried out of the house,” said the witness, who is now part of the case.
But provincial police says the two suspects were found only with drugs in their possession and have been charged accordingly.
“Be advised that two suspects, aged 49 years old and 51 years old, were arrested on Thursday after they were found in possession of drugs. Both will appear in the Mitchells Plain Magistrates’ Court,” said police spokesperson Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana.
