"The extension of the lockdown period has seen increased demand among foreign visitors wanting to return home. We will continue to work closely with the various embassies and consulates in order to accommodate their requests."

Western Cape government said foreign nationals wishing to return home must liaise with their various embassies or consulates in order to arrange this.

Previously the  Weekend Argus reported, that the foreign nations gathered at the Cape Town Stadium for screening before buses picked them up to take them to the airport for their outbound flights.
