Speedster who clocked 235 km/h granted bail

Durban - A Richards Bay man, arrested after being clocked at a reported 235km/h by traffic police on Tuesday, has appeared in court.

The 31-year-old Busisani Mlondoh appeared in the Mtunzini Magistrate's Court on Wednesday on a charge of exceeding the speed limit of a national highway.

His Golf GTI was also impounded. Road Traffic Management Corporation's Zinhle Mngomezulu said Mlondoh was ordered to pay R5 000 bail and was released under instructions from the magistrate to appear before the court again on January 31.
