The Anton Smit sculpture park features throughout the mall’s open-air area.

The infusion of the Anton Smit sculpture park throughout the mall’s open-air area is one of the most refreshing aspects of the new-look mall. It integrates six pieces by the world-famous sculptor, an art deco children’s play sculpture and statues of the new mall mascot.

Pietermaritzburg-born Smit was featured at this year’s SCOPE Art Fair in New York and his works have been exhibited in art capitals including Sydney, Milan, Amsterdam and Bonn, to list only a few.
