Johannesburg - Police are looking for a top cop from Eldorado Park who is on the run after hijacked and stolen cars were found in his yard.
On Tuesday, police spokeswoman Lieutenant-Colonel Katlego Mogale said the officer – a lieutenant-colonel – had still not been arrested.
Mogale said one of the cars had been hijacked and the others were stolen.
These were found after police followed a Tracker signal from one of the cars, which led them to the Extension 9 house on Tuesday morning.
Head of CrimeLine and Lead SA activist Yusuf Abramjee chronicled the police action on Twitter, saying the officer had apparently refused to go home with the SAPS, instead “he asked them to come to court!… The cop said he would go to court with his lawyer…”
