Johannesburg - Two men have been arrested in different areas of the North West after bags of dagga were found near their homes, police said on Saturday.

One man, 31, was arrested after dagga was found at his home in Moruleng on Thursday, said Colonel Sabata Mokgwabone.

Police found another 14 bags of dagga worth an estimated street value of R11,200 in a field near his home.

After the arrest, police followed up on further information and raided another home in Northam.

There, a 22-year-old man was found in possession of dagga and was arrested.

Police then found more dagga in a bush near his home.

Both men were expected to appear in the Mogwase Magistrate's Court on Monday.
