Paris - An armed robber has taken several people hostage at a travel agency in Paris, Le Parisien newspaper reported online.
Police said on Twitter that their forces were at the site.
French news agency AFP cited police sources as saying that the gunman was holding seven people.
Police tweeted that “an intervention was under way. Motorists should avoid the area” of Boulevard Massena in the south of the French capital.
