Sarasota, Florida - More than 50 people are dead and more than
200 others injured following a mass shooting in Las Vegas,
police said Monday.
The shooter, who started firing an automatic rifle from the 32nd
floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel at 10:08 pm (0708 GMT), was killed by
security forces, Sheriff Joe Lombardo said.

He is a white 64-year-old male named Stephen Paddock who resided in
Las Vegas, Lombardo said.
Additionally, authorities are "confident, but not 100-per-cent sure,"
that an Asian female who was named as a person of interest in the
massacre has been found, Lombardo said.
