London -
A mother was arrested over the murder of her daughter after she admitted leaving her on a pushchair on a beach to drown when the tide came in.
Fabienne Kabou, 36, checked in to a French seafront hotel with 15-month-old Adelaide telling police she had the express intention of getting rid of her child - blaming “difficulties she had living with her boyfriend”.
A fisherman found the girl’s body in freezing water the following day at Berck-sur-Mer, near Boulogne.
The pushchair was found nearby with DNA on it belonging to the Senegalese-born mother.
After a nationwide hunt, philosophy student Kabouwas found at her home in Paris that she shared with the child’s father, a 63-year-old sculptor.
He said she had been a “magnificent mother” to the child.
Her lawyer Fabienne Roy-Nansion, who was present during the interrogation, said that her client had made a full confession. - Daily Mail
