Ciudad Juarez, Mexico - A gang of assailants armed with assault rifles drove up to a northern Mexico car lot and shot to death six men.

Authorities are still searching for the gunmen involved in the shooting in Chihuahua city, the capital of the northern Mexico border state of Chihuahua.

State prosecutors' spokesman Carlos Gonzalez says the killings occurred late Tuesday.

Also Tuesday, the bodies of two men were found hanging from a roadway sign in the western state of Michoacan, alongside a message indicating they were killed as part of a drug gang turf battle.

They were killed in a town that has formed a “community police” self-defense force that authorities say has links to the Jalisco New Generation cartel.
