■ 3 Tons of Fun are celebrating their 10th anniversary at The Barnyard Theatre at Willowbridge, in Tyger Valley on Saturday, September 9, at 1.30pm. They are collaborating with DJ Uncle Cal and various vibrant guest artists to perform popular cover songs from their debut album, Larger Than Life, released in 2015. Uncle Cal has graced the stages of many major festivals, including the Cape Town International Jazz Festival’s free concert and Jazz on The Rocks. Saxy Sthe, Beautiful Bee and Mysterious Michelle, pictured with Uncle Cal, will perform some of their original songs; home-brewed sounds like the hits of Miriam Makeba; international classics and many more sing-along favourites.
