British adventurer, television personality and travel journalist, Charley Boorman will present his Charley Boorman Live show at the Market Hall, GrandWest, on Monday August 28 before heading off on his 10 000 kilometre motorcycle tour.
The show promises an entertaining evening of anecdotes and video clips, tracing Boorman’s life as a boy back in Hollywood through to his Long Way Round exploits with actor Ewan McGregor.
The show ends with an interactive question and answer session with the audience, book signings and photo opportunities.
Boorman’s great African adventure will take him and his team from Cape Town north to the Skeleton Coast of Namibia and onwards to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
From there they continue south, through Botswana and then travel across the border to Johannesburg. The last leg of their journey takes them over the Kingdom in the Mountains, Lesotho, and the infamous Sani Pass, before returning to Cape Town in October. The show starts at 7.30pm.
