Nedbank has launched an easy-payment app for parents of schoolchildren. The Karri app enables cashless payments to schools for events such as school trips and fundraising activities.

The app allows you to send money instantly and securely to your child’s school at the click of a button. Furthermore, Karri has a built-in reminder, calendar and transaction history to ensure that you are informed of events your child takes part in and can pay accordingly.

For schools, using Karri will help eliminate collecting, counting and banking cash and will reduce time spent on administration.

Aliya Al-Haeri, a parent of a child at The Grove Primary School in Claremont, Cape Town, attests to the convenience of the app and how it simplifies parents’ lives: “It’s like Uber for school payments; it has made everything easy and cashless. I am all for innovation, and I think it is fantastic.”

The app is available to anyone, not just Nedbank customers. It is available from Google Play and the Apple iStore. For more information, go to
