Pretoria - The murder case of two brothers accused of pushing student Lesedi Kekana from the seventh floor of The Wall flats in Arcadia in March was postponed once again.

The matter was adjourned until August 2 in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Friday for further investigations.

Last week, the case was postponed to allow one of the accused to write exams.

One accused was however present in court. Khehla, 23 and Mafumisi Khubayi, 27, are currently out on bail.

Kekana died at a local hospital in March after being rushed there subsequent to the alleged incident, barely a month after moving to Pretoria.

The 18-year-old first-year student was pursuing a career in sound engineering at Emendy Multimedia Technology Institute in Arcadia.

Grief was etched on the faces of family and friends of the slain student inside courtroom 16, where they had flocked to witness the start of the trial.

The distraught group wore black T-shirts with a picture of Kekana looking down emblazoned on the front.

The two were arrested shortly after the incident. According to an eyewitness, Kekana was allegedly involved in an argument with the suspects before he was pushed.

From what the family understood, one of the accused had allegedly attempted to stab him before pushing him.

He landed on a concrete floor below.
