Chief Executive of SA Weather Service, Jerry Lengoasa, addresses the media about how the company responded to the two severe weather events in Gauteng and the KwaZulu-Natal.
He said that some radar failed to give out early warnings.
Radar in the North West and Umtata failed.
The radar signal in Gauteng is in Irene and that it is still functional.
The company said it is not expecting heavy rain in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng in the near future.
The company hopes to improve its infrastructure that is more than 10 years old.
It wants to also improve on communication to the community and use various mediums to reach more communities on a daily bases.
