Pretoria - DJ Edit SA, real name Kennedy Mudzuli, is back with a smashing new Afro Tech single titled Riye Riye.

It is yet another giant leap in the music industry for the Pretoria DJ, music producer and recording artist, who is still basking in the glory of his last project Afro Storm EP.

The new single is strictly for the dance floors, following in the same path as DJ Edit SA’s previous hits such as Ko Davin, Mukwevho, K-Squad Anthem, Morning Glory, Ndo No Lenga, Zorbel, and Afro Storm, to name just a few.

Riye Riye is the first release in 2022 by DJ Edit SA, the experienced journalist who balances his fast-growing music career with his day-job as deputy editor of the Pretoria News.

Just like in the past two years, the May 6 release date coincides with DJ Edit SA’s birthday celebration on May 7.

Last year he dropped the self-titled project Kennedy Mudzuli EP, featuring the hit single Morning Glory, on his birthday.

“Through Riye Riye, I am inviting music lovers and those who identify with the DJ Edit SA brand and Afro House/Tech genre in general to celebrate my birthday with me,” DJ Edit SA said.

Explaining what the title of the song means, he says: “Riye Riye is the sound Venda women make when they ululate.

“It is a celebration of my Venda roots.”

Riye Riye will be released by DJ Edit SA Music, Mudzuli’s independent label, and distributed worldwide on digital music platforms by Electromode Ingrooves.
