Pretoria - The Tshwane taxi industry has been rocked by the death of three people who were shot and killed at Itereleng taxi rank in Laudium.

Police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe said detectives were searching for suspects in connection with the shooting that occurred on Sunday.

“Laudium SAPS members received a call that there were three people murdered at the entrance of Itereleng informal settlement taxi rank.

“The first deceased, aged 25, was found near the community office, while the other two, 29 and 33, were found inside a vehicle with multiple gunshots.

“The three victims were declared dead at the scene. The motive is unknown at this stage.

“The police are appealing to the members of the public who might have information that can assist with apprehending the suspects to contact the nearest police station or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.”
