Convicted rapist, paedophile and fraudster Dawie de Villiers secured another two months of freedom this week, after his sentencing proceedings had to be postponed due to the presiding judge’s unavailability.

The 39-year-old modelling agency boss has been on bail pending his sentence since his conviction in February last year, despite numerous unsuccessful attempts by prosecutor Arveena Persad to have his bail withdrawn.

De Villiers is still the chief executive of MSA (Modelling South Africa) Model Management and Agency, which moved from Kempton Park to Bedfordview and has spent much time in the past several years in court on charges on rape, sexual assault and fraud.

De Villiers was convicted in February 2017 on numerous charges, including the rape of a teenager.
