Johannesburg – The findings from the disciplinary hearing of suspended Athletics SA (ASA) chief executive Frik Vermaak are expected next week.

“Evidence is finished in the case,” ASA president James Evans said on Saturday.

“The chairperson indicated he will need a week or so to give the finding.”

Vermaak, appointed in December, is charged with alleged misappropriation of funds and dishonesty relating to his employment credentials.

Initially set to have started on Monday, the hearing was delayed by three days after a break-in at the ASA head office in Houghton last week.
