JOHANNESBURG – The Mzansi Super League comes to a conclusion this weekend with lucrative prize money for the best teams.

The tightly-contested tournament play-off spots were confirmed at the end of the round-robin stages on Wednesday with the Paarl Rocks finishing third in the league standings and clinching the final spot in the play-offs.

They beat off challenges from the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants, Tshwane Spartans and Durban Heat – to meet Jozi Stars in the all critical eliminator at Wanderers in Johannesburg on Friday evening (start at 7pm).

The winner from this knockout clash will face Cape Town Blitz at Newlands in Cape Town on Sunday afternoon (start at 3.30pm).

There are four main award categories that will form part of the trophy presentation ceremony that will take place after the Final on Sunday.

The categories are:

Tournament winner:  R 7 000 000

Tournament runner-up: R 2 500 000

Most Valuable Player: R 100 000.
