CAPE TOWN – At last, we have the ticket details. Cricket fans, the Mzansi Super League tickets will go on sale this Friday ahead of the tournament kickoff next month.
The first match sees the Cape Town Blitz host the Tshwane Spartans (7pm) on Friday, November 16 at Newlands, with Quinton de Kock leading the home side and AB de Villiers the marquee player for the visitors.
Ticket prices start from R50 for all 32 matches, and are available via Ticketpro through their call centre and website, as well as their outlets at Edgars, Jet, CNA and Spar.
Apart from the opener, the other first-weekend matches sees the Jozi Stars take on Nelson Mandela Bay Giants at the Wanderers on Saturday, November 17 (7pm), while there are two games on the Sunday.
First up is Kingsmead in Durban, where the Blitz will come up against Durban Heat at 11.30am, and Paarl Rocks play their first game against Tshwane Spartans at Boland Park (3.30pm).
“We have made tickets easily obtainable and available at a reasonable cost to go with our objective of making the MSL T20 matches affordable to the general public – old and new,” Cricket SA chief executive Thabang Moroe said on Thursday.
“This is a new competition with new teams, new funky team logos and kits…we hope to see everyone joining us as we formally launch ‘FAST. FUN. FOR ALL’ cricket at all six venues where the MSL T20 will take place.
“There are other entertainment features and activations that we will reveal closer to the tournament start.”
