CAPE TOWN – The Cape Cobras rectified their errors in the first session with a barnstorming bowling display on Monday afternoon here against the Dolphins in their Four-Day Series clash at a windswept Newlands.

After the seam bowlers struggled with their lengths and failed to utilise the overhead conditions in the morning, they regrouped during the lunch interval and came back roaring in the second session.

Mthiwekhaya Nabe was the chief destroyer, with the medium-pace bowler claiming 4/45 to reduce to Dolphins to 207/8.

Cody Chetty was the top-scorer with 71 for the KZN outfit, while Dane Vilas chipped in with 27.

Furthermore, it was a tale of woe for the visitors, who slipped from 142/3 to 207/8 at the tea interval.

The Cobras will be looking to wrap up the Dolphins innings shortly after the resumption of play before working on chipping away at their total.
