Team Bonitas Medscheme rider Tyler Day, won the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour in Cape Town on Sunday in a time of two hours 32 minutes and 10 seconds. It was the biggest victory of his short career when he outsprinted a large bunch to win. Defending champion, Malcolm Lange, also of Team Bonitas Medscheme, finished second in the final race of his professional career. Herman Fouche (DCM) rounded out the podium places in third.
Cherise Taylor (Team USN) captured the women's race victory in 2hr 49min 45sec, outsprinting Ashleigh Moolman Pasio (Nashua Toyota) and Catherine Williamson (Team bizhub) who were second and third respectively.
