Durban – Claude Moshiywa broke the foreign stranglehold on the Comrades Marathon “up” run in KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday, and Russian Elena Nurgalieva extended her dominance with her eighth victory in the women's event.
Moshiywa finished in 5:32:08 in what was one of the toughest Comrades races in recent history, while Elena Nurgalieva pipped her sister, Olesya, to the finish in a time of 6:27:09. – Sapa
