The Barcelona player posted the message on Saturday. He also sent a message of support to those most affected by the crisis.

"These are difficult days for everyone," said Messi.

"We are worried by what is happening and want to put ourselves in the position of those who are suffering the most, because they or their friends and loves ones are affected, or because they are working in the front line in hospitals and health centres to combat the virus."

Barcelona players were sent home on Friday on the recommendation of the club's medical staff with all activity suspended until further notice.
