Some of the big names have landed in Johannesburg for the NBA Africa Game taking place at The Dome in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Among the early arrivals are Dikembe Mutombo, Dirk Nowitzki and CJ McCollum.

Ahead of the game, though, NBA Africa’s Basketball Without Borders (BWB) programme will the stars host clinics in Johannesburg this week in the build-up.

Teenagers from around the African continent have been brought to South Africa for the clinics, where they will be put through a number of drills and receive tips from the NBA players and coaches.

“Many didn’t believe us, or that this would happen,” Mutombo told the NBA website about the initiative.

“And I have to admit, this is amazing, to see how this has grown. When I first became part of the program, we couldn’t get three NBA players to help out.”

The #NBAAfricaGame, between Team Africa and Team World, will start at 5pm on Saturday.
