leaving the New England Patriots after two decades with the team.
The 42-year-old quarterback said on Twitter:
"My football journey will
take place elsewhere" after his contract with the Patriots ended.
"I don't know what my football future holds but it is time for me to
open a new stage for my life and career," he said
Brady played nine Super Bowls and was four-time Super Bowl Most
Valuable Player and three-time league MVP.
Brady's said goodbye to fans and supporters with a series of posts on his Instagram account:
