PHOENIX - Phoenix Suns point guard Eric Bledsoe has likely played his final game for the team, according to general manager Ryan McDonough.
Bledsoe was sent home prior to the team's game against Sacramento on Monday after the disgruntled guard tweeted on Sunday: "I don't wanna be here."
McDonough said that Bledsoe had told him the tweet was in reference to being at a hair salon.
"I didn't believe that to be true," McDonough said. "He won't be with us going forward."
Bledsoe, 27, met with the team prior to being sent home. Phoenix have had a 0-3 start to the season, which includes two defeats by 40-plus points, and fired coach Earl Watson on Sunday.
The struggling outfit went on secure their first win of the new season on Monday evening, beating the Sacramento Kings 117-115.
Marquese Chriss scored 19 points, and Mike James put Phoenix ahead to stay on a basket with 14.1 seconds left as the Suns overcame two tumultuous days to hang on for their first win.
The Suns led by as many as 22 points and were up by 11 with 3:08 to play in the game. However, five 3-pointers in the fourth quarter by Sacramento's Garrett Temple keyed a 14-3 run, and Kings rookie De'Aaron Fox tied the game at 112 on an 8-foot floater with 58 seconds left.
James, who had 18 points and seven assists in his first start in place of Bledsoe, hit a 5-foot bank shot to give the Suns the lead for good.
