Durban – The Sharks will be without regular Currie Cup kicker Meyer Bosman for their clash against the Blue Bulls in Pretoria on Saturday after he failed a fitness test, but Francois Kleinhans has recovered in time to take his place in the starting XV.

There are two changes from the team that ousted the Lions 30-14

in Durban last week with Marius Joubert coming in at centre for Bosman, who has a knee problem.

The other change is also enforced and comes in the front row where Craig Burden has been called up for Springbok duty, with Monde Hadebe replacing him at hooker.

Flanker Kleinhans, impressive in his two appearances so far this season, overcame a toe problem to make the line-up.

Under-21 number two Franco Marais has been promoted to the bench to replace Hadebe, while the only other change amongst the replacements sees Brynard Stander take over from Joubert.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for Hadebe,” assistant coach Grant Bashford said.

“He has been around for a couple of seasons now and we’re confident he will take his chance.”

The Sharks remain the only unbeaten side in the competition and Bashford added, “Obviously confidence comes with winning, so there is definitely a belief in this group that they can win.

“The nice thing for us is that we don’t feel that we have played particularly well.

“So we have some things to work on but certainly winning brings confidence to the group.”

The Sharks team is: Louis Ludik, Odwa Ndungane, Paul Jordaan, Marius Joubert, S'bura Sithole, Riaan Viljoen, Charl McLeod, Jacques Botes, Jean Deysel (captain), Francois Kleinhans, Anton Bresler, Steven Sykes, Wiehahn Herbst, Monde Hadebe, Dale Chadwick.

Replacements: Franco Marais, Julian Redelinghuys, Jandre Marais, Lubabalo Mtembu, Brynard Stander, Cobus Reinach, Gouws Prinsloo. – Sapa
