Normally during the build-up to a big rugby match, South African teams and players tend to go into their shells.

They sometimes the media and the public because they don’t want any distractions ahead of the decisive game of the year.

But no told the Sharks that. Ahead of Saturday’s Currie Cup final against Western Province at Newlands, the Durban side’s players did something extraordinary for a South African team – mime Vanilla Ice’s ‘Ice Ice Baby’!

Dressed in pink jerseys nogal, the Sharks posted a video on Twitter on Monday.

And they said the thinking behind it was to counter Western Province’s own version of the Iceland football team’s iconic ‘thunder-clap’, which the Cape team have dubbed ‘StormKlap’, which they introduced to their fans during the 35-32 win over the Blue Bulls this past Saturday.

Have a look at both and let us know on our social media channels which one you think is better…
