Johannesburg – Bulls stalwart Wynand Olivier will join Japanese club Ricoh Black Rams at the end of this season's Super Rugby series, the Bulls announced on Tuesday.

Olivier, who played his 100th match for the Bulls two weeks ago, would return from Japan in February 2013, according to the Bulls, and would be available to play for the Pretoria outfit again in the Super Rugby series.

He would then return to the Rams at the end of the 2013 Super Rugby season, when his contract with the Bulls runs out.

“We have decided to release Wynand from his Currie Cup duties for this period and allow him to play for the Black Rams in their Top League and Japanese Cup competitions,” Bulls CEO Barend van Graan said in a statement.

“We believe this is a win-win situation for Wynand, the Bulls and the Rams.” – Sapa
