Potgieter ruled out of Kings clash

Johannesburg – Bulls flanker Dewald Potgieter was ruled out of Saturday's Vodacom Super Rugby clash against the Southern Kings, following a knee injury sustained in training and will be replaced by Arno Botha.

Botha, who was named on the bench, will start in the number seven jersey, with another Springbok loose forward Jacques Potgieter moving onto the bench.

The new loose trio combination of Pierre Spies, Botha and Deon Stegmann has played together on two occasions this year, against the Blues in Auckland and the Crusaders in Christchurch.

Bulls team: Jurgen Visser, Akona Ndungane, JJ Engelbrecht, Jan Sefontein, Lionel Mapoe, Morne Steyn, Jano Vermaak, Pierre Spies (capt), Arno Botha, Deon Stegmann, Juandre Kruger, Flip van der Merwe, Frik Kirsten, Chiliboy Ralepelle, Morne Mellett.

Replacements: Callie Visagie, Werner Kruger, Paul Willemse, Jacques Potgieter, Rudy Paige, Louis Fouche, Bjorn Basson. – Sapa
