PORT ELIZABETH - The Southern Kings have made three changes to their team to face Welsh outfit Scarlets in their Pro14 match in Port Elizabeth on Friday.

Loosehead prop Schalk Ferreira makes a start up front, while hooker Alandre van Rooyen comes in for the injured Michael Willemse.

Stephan de Wit starts at flank in place of CJ Velleman who drops out of the match 23.

Kings coach Deon Davids said new inclusions on the bench Tertius Kruger and Fijian Meli Rokoua would provide extra excitement for the clash.

“I’m excited to see them. It’s time now for them to step up and show that they can play at this level. I’m excited to see them impose themselves and showi what they can bring. The new guys have shown us some glimpses of what they can offer, so we are excited to see that in match situations,” Davids said.

“We are rotating CJ Velleman and Stephan de Wit, while even though he has recovered, this rotation also gives him more time in the recovery from the shoulder injury he sustained in the previous match.”
